The cast of The Holiday: Then and now
Jude Law: Then
British heartthrob Jude Law played single dad and widower Graham Simpkins, who falls in love with Cameron Diaz's character.
Jude Law: Now
Law, now aged 50, has continued to star in blockbuster films, including Sherlock Holmes and the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
The British actor is perhaps most beloved for his role in The Holiday and it seems we still can't stop asking him about the film – even 17 years on.
In an interview with Vanity Fair about making the film inn 2006, Law answered a burning question about why his skin tone seemed to change mid-way through the movie.
He revealed it was because some scenes were filmed during the UK winter, while many of the indoor shots were filmed in the middle of summer in Los Angeles.
"We shot the exteriors in the UK first. It was freezing. For whatever reason, all the interiors – the UK interiors too –were filmed in the studios here in LA, so we all moved to LA," Jude explained.
"Nancy [Myers, director] has the reputation – well, I don't know if she does anymore, but she has the reputation for taking her time.
"I'm sat in my house waiting for five weeks before they get to me. As you can probably see, if I look at the sun I go very brown very quickly."
He added, "My father is very dark-skinned. And if you watch that film carefully, when I'm outside in England I'm really white and pasty, and as soon as I go inside I'm like, 'Hey!' and I've got this suntan. No one really notices, but if you watch I darken by about two shades every time I step inside and out."
Cameron Diaz: Then
Cameron Diaz played movie producer Amanda Woods, who house swaps with a British woman over Christmas to escape her cheating ex-boyfriend.
Cameron Diaz: Now

She went on to star in The Other Woman, Bad Teacher and What Happens in Vegas – just to name a few.
