April has been working as a journalist for over 10 years and has worked in Australia, Scotland and England filing stories for magazines and newspapers and as an online journalist.
She has worked at Nine’s Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne bureaus, moving to Victoria in 2025 to cover local, national and international news for nine.com.au.
After joining Nine in 2021 on the lifestyle team, April was promoted to afternoon editor, before joining the news team at nine.com.au as a Senior Reporter.
During her time at Nine, April has covered three royal tours, federal budgets, federal and state elections and major breaking tragedies including the 2025 Bondi Beach shooting and the Porepunkah police shooting.
Education
April completed a Bachelor of Media and Communications, majoring in Journalism, at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
