Tayla Damir's bank cards stolen, accounts 'cleaned out'

Tayla Damir has had her bank cards stolen and her accounts wiped while on holiday in Europe.

The 22-year-old former Love Island Australia star discovered all her money was gone on Friday, July 26, and issued a warning to her Instagram followers.

"Note to everyone: Do not link your business, personal and savings card because if one gets hacked, they all get hacked. My accounts have just been cleaned out by some lucky bastard. Currently having a nervous meltdown! What a way to end a holiday," she wrote in her Instagram Stories.

A few hours later, after speaking to her financial institution, Tayla explained how thieves got her money.

"It wasn't a hack that happened while I was traveling," she said in the clip shared to her Instagram Stories. "[The bank] sent me new cards because my PayPass wasn't working on my other ones, but the cards were meant to come when I got back. However they sent them early and someone has obviously gone through my letterbox and taken those cards and gone on online shopping sprees.

"They've gone and transferred through some app where you only need the card and it sends it to other people's cards. So they've had a field day. They just made a lot of money and got a lot of cool purchases."

Thankfully, Tayla has cameras outside her home in Australia and plans to "catch them".

"But yeah I'm still going to have to wait a couple of weeks to get the money back which is a bit annoying."
