Scott Eastwood names ‘psychopath’ co-star he got into a heated on set clash with

Scott Eastwood has called out the actor he had a heated on-set confrontation with during the filming of Fury during a chat on the Armchair Expert podcast. 

The 40-year-old name dropped Shia LaBeouf, 40, as the co-star he clashed with during filming and admitted it was “tough” going as far as to label him a “psychopath” at one point. 

“Look, Shia is clearly tormented and has maybe got some stuff going on. It was tough,” Eastwood told podcast host Dax Shepard. 

“One day, he was having an episode and thought I shouldn’t be spitting tobacco on the tank – which was in the script – and then I finally said enough is enough.

“I said, ‘F--k you. Stop pulling your s--t.’ I said, ‘I’m gonna whoop your ass.’”

Eastwood explained that their co-star Brad Pitt, 62, stepped in to break up the moment.

Pitt portrayed tank commander Don ‘Wardaddy’ Collier in the war movie, which was directed by David Ayer and also starred Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and Jon Bernthal.

The actor explained that LaBeouf is a “very method” actor and has even gone as far as pulling out a tooth and cutting himself to get into character. 

Eastwood was aware of this and admitted he thought “OK. This guy’s crazy. I’m just gonna keep clear from this guy. I don’t play this game.”

The star claimed that “everyone had moments with Shia” on the set of Fury in 2014. 

“Grow the f--k up,” Eastwood said of LaBeouf. 

“It’s funny. The film industry attracts psychopaths because it’s art and business and they kind of intersect.”

nine.com.au has reached out to LaBeouf’s management for comment. 

Eastwood first spoke out about the on-set clash with LaBeouf during a 2022 interview with Insider, but never named him until now. 

“I never think your process as an actor should ever hinder how people are treated on set,” he told the outlet. 

“It should always enhance the production, not take away and put people in a situation where it’s a s---ty work environment, or you’re rude, or people have to be in an uncomfortable situation.”

Eastwood added, “You got to put things in perspective. This is make-believe, it’s fun, and at times it’s serious and you’re doing emotional work and you give people space to do that in, but everything has to have its parameters.”
