Rod Stewart’s US tour has hit yet another road bump after the singer was forced to postpone a show at the last minute to undergo a medical procedure.

Stewart, 81, was supposed to take the stage in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sunday as part of his One Last Time tour; however, the show was moved at the last second.

A statement released by the venue revealed the Reason to Believe singer suddenly needed a medical procedure, forcing the show to be postponed.

“Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart’s performance tonight in Cincinnati at Riverbend Music Centre has been POSTPONED,” the venue shared the day of the show.

“Rescheduling is currently underway, with additional information to follow on Tuesday. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled date.”

The statement continued, adding “Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati.”

The cancellation comes amid a number of health scares and issues with the tour, leading to debate about the singer’s ability to finish the tour.

One video, posted to X, went viral last week after a social media user said his lacklustre performance of his hit song Maggie May was “embarrassing.”

“Can someone please tell Rod Stewart that it’s okay to retire! This is embarrassing!′ the post read.

“I saw him last summer & he was phenomenal! Yes, he [was] older & tired, but he put on a great performance,” one fan wrote.

“Let him sing in peace. He gave us decades of very good music and entertainment. I’m thankful for the music Rod,” another said.

In the video, Steward looks clearly puffed out, taking big deep breaths between lyrics and standing on the spot without moving much.

This is not the first time the singer’s health has sparked discussions or impacted the tour.

Just two months ago, the singer was spotted with an oxygen tank on stage in Utah after he had already cancelled a show in San Diego due to laryngitis.
