Jamie Lee Curtis to deliver special Betty White tribute during 2022 Oscars

Jamie Lee Curtis has revealed she will be delivering a special Betty White tribute during the 2022 Oscars ceremony.
Speaking on the red carpet to Good Morning America, Curtis, 63, let it slip that she would be hosting a presentation to honour the late TV icon, who died aged 99 on December 31, 2021.

Curtis told the hosts she will deliver the tribute on stage, and explained her gown choice was a touching nod to White's lifelong animal activism.
"I am wearing Stella McCartney, who is an animal rights activist as Betty White was," Curtis revealed, referring to her stunning glittery blue dress.
"Because I want to make sure, if I am representing Betty White, and her great love of animals and dedication to animal causes, then I wear a designer who uses sustainable materials, who tells the same story in their work."

"It felt like a perfect way to walk the walk and talk the talk."
The Halloween actress admitted her Betty White presentation was going to be a "surprise" but said she wanted to speak about White's incredible legacy on the red carpet.

"What are they gonna do, not have me do it?" she laughed.

Curtis also showed her support for Ukrainian refugees, wearing a blue ribbon which read: "#WithRefugees".
