Jason Donovan shares adorable unseen footage with Kylie Minogue ahead of Neighbours finale
Jason Donovan has been reflecting on the fame Neighbours brought him ahead of the Aussie soap's grand finale today.
The 54-year-old actor became a household name in the late '80s when he played Scott Robinson on the long-running series from 1986 to 1989.
His sudden fame and onscreen chemistry with co-star Kylie Minogue catapulted them to stardom both in Australia and the UK – and they even released a duet, 'Especially For You', in 1988.
The hit track scored the pair – who were dating at the time – an invitation to appear on the British music program Top of the Pops back in 1988. And today, Donovan shared an adorable never-before-seen video of the pair behind the scenes at the taping.

In the clip, Donovan and Minogue – who played Charlene Robinson on Neighbours – looked nervous as they waited backstage and prepared for their time in front of the camera. Nevertheless, the fresh-faced duo looked excited to be at the studio to promote their duet.
Earlier this month, the Aussie actor also shared the first images of himself and Minogue back on the Neighbours set 33 years since they both left the show to permanently locate to the UK.

"So good to be back with this absolute legend @kylieminogue," he captioned a slideshow of them embracing on the famous Ramsay Street. "Scott and Charlene final scenes ❤️."
The couple are not the only ones reprising their iconic characters for the final episode, which airs today in Australia and tomorrow in the UK.

The 90-minute special will reportedly feature former stars Delta Goodrem, Jesse Spencer, Guy Pearce and Margot Robbie, who is said to appear in the finale via Zoom.

Also reportedly returning is Anne Charleston, whose character Madge Bishop – who was killed off in the soap – will return as a ghost.
Neighbours started in 1985 and became an instant fan favourite. Soon enough, it was picked up by BBC One in the UK before moving to Channel 5, who decided last year that it would no longer air the show.
