Morgan Wallen had a pretty brutal reaction to being filmed up close by a security guard – who was holding a fan’s phone – during his show on Friday night at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The country singer was performing and a woman in the crowd gave her phone to a nearby security guard who held it over her head to film closer, only for him to yank it out of her hands and throw it across the stage.

“Well that just happened… Amy gave her phone to the lady to hand to Morgan Wallen and he launched it. I get it… security should be doing security things, but….” TikToker @jcroo419 captioned the post on his page.

He explained that the hope was that Wallen would grab the phone, or even notice it and get up and close with it, but the reaction was far from what they expected.

When the phone came to Wallen’s attention in the hands of the security guard, he plucked it off her and hurled it into the crowd.

Fans in the comments were stunned by the Whiskey Glasses singer’s reaction to the moment.

“No because I don’t get it. That was arrogant and uncalled for,” commented one fan.

Another replied, “Why would you do this to one of your fans?? That’s wild.”

“Why is he so angry?” commented another user.

Although some people pointed out that security aren’t there at concerts to take videos for fans.

“Security is supposed to be doing security stuff and thangs, not recording,” commented one person.

Another echoed that and wrote, “She’s there to do security, not to film the show.”

Wallen was recently slammed by fans for cancelling a show in Pittsburgh due to predicted high winds.

The country singer was forced to hit back at “nonsense” rumours that were going around, defending the decision to cancel the show.

“This morning, my team walked on the bus and told me they had been consulting with local officials and that I should cancel my show in Pittsburgh tonight and I said, ‘Why?’” the country singer explained.

“They said that there was going to be strong winds in the area, and I said, ‘OK.’ So, that is what I did in that moment, and I trusted my team.”

Wallen said that he was aware that the forecasted winds hadn’t hit Pittsburgh, but had hit nearby areas in Pennsylvania, which was a big reason why they made the call to cancel.

“The truth of the matter is, I have a large stage that, in those conditions, could become fatal to a lot of folks around it. So, I did the best I could with the information I had in that moment,” he continued.

Wallen stressed that the safety of his fans was the priority.
