Celebrities helping, volunteering and donating during the LA wildfires
It is in moments of tragedy that we see the real face of humanity, and this goes for our favourite celebrities too.
As the fires in LA rage on and continue to affect celebrities and non-celebrities alike, many stars are rolling up their sleeves and helping in any way they can.

Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger has pledged to donate $US1million ($1.5million approx.) of his own money to help victims of the LA wildfires.
"I'm going to lead the way. I'm sending a million dollars of my own money, split between @lafdfoundation, @cafirefound, and @habitatla. I don't like when companies or rich people ask their fans to make their donations for them," Schwarzenegger said on Instagram.
The former governor of California added that his team designed a T-shirt which fans can buy and proceeds will go towards his chosen organisations.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has penned a heartfelt message after donating to several organisations supporting those affected by the LA wildfires.
The pop superstar shared a handwritten message to her Instagram Stories on Friday morning (Australia time) with her 282 million followers.
"The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it's been heartbreaking to see these stories unfold. So much suffering, loss and destruction," the singer wrote.
The star shouted out the "many amazing organisations and groups bonding together to help these communities rebuild".
Swift then listed the 10 organisations she had personally donated to, which included the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and Habitat For Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
Dave Grohl
Rocker Dave Grohl has been spotted volunteering amid the Los Angeles wildfires with the nonprofit, Feed the Streets LA.
The Foo Fighters lead singer, 56, was seen in a video shared on Feed the Streets LA's Instagram stories.
"Making breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. Distributing dinner tonight for displaced families and inmate fire fighters," their post read.
Grohl was seen pushing boxes of items, either meals, ingredients or supplies, as he helped out.
He kept things incognito wearing an all-black outfit and a cap.
Eva Longoria
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has donated $US50,000 (approx. $81,180) to directly support those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
The actress shared a video message to her more than 10 million Instagram followers, getting emotional while talking about having "so many friends who've lost a lot" in the fires.
The actress confirmed she and her family had evacuated their home.
"We've donated clothes, I literally emptied out my pantry to take down to all of the places that are accepting donations," she continued.
Longoria said she would be personally matching the up to $50,000 ($81,180) donations made to organisation This is About Humanity in support of frontline workers and families impacted by the ongoing fires.
"LA is strong, everybody has been so helpful in the communities all over from Altadena to Pasadena to the Pacific Palisades. Everybody is on the street. Everybody is helping. People are coming together in beautiful ways, and it's beautiful to watch" she continued.
The star concluded her video by thanking the firefighters and those helping.
Sharon Stone
Actress Sharon Stone has spent the past week promoting a donation drive from LA Boutique +Coop, with the store serving as a distribution centre.
"The Coop - Please come and shop if you were displaced from the fire, come here for clothes, blankets, shoes, or make donations here," she said on Instagram.
"I'm from Meadville, Pennsylvania, and a famous quote from Margaret Meade says never forget that a group of thoughtful committed citizens can make a difference," she said in a video, using her camera to scan the room, which was stuffed full of donations.
One of her followers that heeded her call was her Catwoman co-star Halle Berry, who commented on her post, "I'm there. [Bringing] all I have !!"
She did indeed, packing up her entire wardrobe to donate to the store.
"I'm packing up my entire closet and heading over to the COOP!" she shared with her followers.
"If you live in the Southern California area, I urge you to do the same. This is something we can do right now today to help all of the displaced families that are in need of the basics today! Thank you @sharonstone for your leadership. Love you Lady ❤️"
Bethenny Frankel
Reality star Bethenny Frankel is engaging her charity BStrong in the midst of the disaster, donating critical supplies to families in need.
She told AP that the charity is currently on the ground, "dropping off these kits at every house – if they still are lucky enough to have a house but have no power or water, or every shelter, or every person living, God forbid, on the street with a friend would need.
"So it's socks and toothbrush and toiletry kits and blankets and in some cases, book packs and pencils for kids and chargers. And, you know, water purification systems, like things people need at Ground Zero, not once you've rebuilt, like right now, you need wipes and dry socks and things like that."
She also clarified how the donations from big names and corporations work at BStrong.
"They're kind of donating to an entire concept but the money specifically is going to the cash cards... The literal dollar is going into people's hands via cash cards.
"Literally, your money is transferred into cash cards for individuals that we have vetted, who have lost everything, who are not billionaires living in mansions in Palisades who still have a credit card. We're talking about people that have lost everything."
