Kyle and Jackie O's history of on-air tension leading up to the feud that ended their show
Jackie 'O' Henderson and Kyle Sandilands are no strangers to conflict, to say the least.
But on February 20, their particular brand of unfiltered discussions took a different tone, and on Tuesday, just over a week later, it was announced Henderson was leaving The Kyle and Jackie O Show and that Sandilands had been suspended for "serious misconduct".
A statement released by ARN Media said Henderson, who has been off air since the fued, would not return as she "cannot continue to work with Mr Kyle Sandilands".

Sandilands has been suspended and warned his contract will be terminated if he does not respond to an allegation of serious misconduct within 14 days.
Their trademark tit-for-tat dynamic appeared to shift during the on-air spat last month, with Sandilands telling Henderson she was being "unprofessional" and "unfocused" at work.
The tense exchange came about after Henderson took time out of a segment to read from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's astrology birth chart.

In the ensuing nine-minute exchange, Sandilands claimed his co-host's perceived fixation on astrology made her "almost unworkable".
"It's affecting other things. You're off with the fairies with this s--t. It's mental," Sandilands proclaimed to Henderson, who appeared on the verge of tears.
This was not the first time the shock jockeys had come to blows in their over 25-year co-hosting stint – bickering was the pair's radio signature, having often traded jabs during on-air debates in the past.
As it stands, this most recent schism appears to have been years in the making.
The 'sickie' incident - 2014
A similar incident in 2014 left Sandilands temporarily hosting his and Henderson's show solo, after the latter called out her co-host over his lack of professionalism.
Henderson accused Sandilands of "chucking a sickie" the previous Friday, "leaving everyone high and dry" as a result.
Sandilands was quick to defend himself, claiming to have thrown up on his way to work that day.
"If you vomited in the car I don't think you'd come to work either," the 43-year-old said at the time.

The on-air spat continued before Sandilands defensively responded that he was "happy to go home again".
A series of pre-recorded segments commenced, which were interrupted when Sandilands announced Henderson had walked out of the studio.
"In the spirit of transparency I'd like to let everyone know that Jackie and I, during the news, have had an argument and Jackie's left," he said.
But it was business as usual for the pair soon after, with Henderson returning to the show the following day.
The vaginal rejuvenation incident – 2024
The two hosts came to blows once again during a 2024 segment, after Sandilands made several graphic remarks regarding Henderson's medical history and gynaecological operations live on air.
The host alluded to a past conversation with Henderson, wherein she discussed a "vaginal rejuvenation" and Sandilands made crude remarks in response.
After Henderson clarified the operation had been intended to remove a cyst, Sandilands reacted with visible disgust, yelling: "Even worse!"

The cheating incident – 2026
In more recent times – mere weeks prior to their final on-air blow-up – the pair were embroiled in a heated debate on the topic of cheating or more specifically, the concept of male loyalty in relationships.
Sandilands shocked Henderson by claiming "most men would cheat" if given the opportunity to do so, but that the act "means nothing".
This prompted intense pushback from Henderson in response, who argued loyalty is a choice and that Sandilands' views were "outdated and damaging".

The heated debate escalated further when Sandilands, who is married to ex-personal assistant Tegan Kynaston, claimed women should "accept" this as a reality of male nature.
Henderson had been on elective leave from The Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM since the incident on February 20 this year.
Sandilands had been hosting solo.
