Sarah Ferguson 'moving around every few days' as Andrew's arrest leaves her and daughters 'in a state'

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are said to be in a "state" following the arrest of their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The York sisters, and their mother Sarah Ferguson, have not been seen since the former prince was taken into custody and questioned by police for nearly 12 hours on his 66th birthday last Thursday.

Ferguson's whereabouts are currently a mystery as more allegations about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein come to light.

Emails released in the Epstein files appear to show that Ferguson introduced her 22-year-old goddaughter, Poppy Cotterell, to the disgraced financier just one year after he was released from prison for child sex crimes.

The emails show Epstein considered hiring Cotterell for a job after he was given her contact information by Ferguson.

Cotterell has since told The Sun that she declined Epstein's job offer after meeting him in 2010 and never saw him again.

Ferguson is believed to be staying abroad since moving out of Royal Lodge in early February. She lived at the 31-bedroom home with her ex-husband for more than 20 years.

The former Duchess of York was last seen in London in September when she and Andrew attended the funeral of the Duchess of Kent alongside other members of the royal family including King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

She and Andrew were then guests at the christening of Princess Beatrice's daughter, Athena, at St James's Palace in early December.

According to reports, she has continued to move around so the press does not find her.

Ferguson is now believed to be in the UAE and a source told the Mail on Sunday she was "sofa-surfing on a global scale by moving around every few days".

Ferguson was "deliberately not telling people where she has been staying until she's left the location" according to the source.

It was previously reported Ferguson had spent time at the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, in January.

The mental health and addiction clinic has been favoured by celebrities, oligarchs and royalty and a week's stay is said to cost close to $200k. A customised one-month stay costs around $670k.

However, it is unclear how Ferguson could afford a stay at the clinic.

Last June, in a piece for The Telegraph UK, Ferguson wrote about a previous visit to Paracelsus where she alleged she was diagnosed with PTSD and ADHD.

Ferguson has also appeared in videos for the clinic on its YouTube channel where she thanked its CEO Jan Gerber for providing her with a "safe harbour in the storms of life".

The clinic told UK media it could not confirm or deny whether Ferguson had been a guest in January.

Earlier this year, emails released in the Epstein files appeared to show Ferguson's long-running money troubles.

In one email exchange, sent in 2009, Ferguson referred to Epstein as the "brother I have always wished for". The following year, she wrote: "Xx I am at your service. Just marry me."

Another saw Ferguson beg Epstein for money following the collapse of a business venture.

"I urgently need 20,000 pounds ($27,521) for rent today," she wrote in 2009.

"The landlord has threatened to go to the newspapers if I don't pay. Any brainwaves?"

Ferguson was stripped of her duchess title when Andrew lost his royal honours in October.

A number of charities have since cut ties with Ferguson and six companies she was involved with have now closed.

Meanwhile, a new television drama with Ferguson at the core has aired on ITV.

The Lady, a four-part crime drama, tells the story of Jane Andrews, Ferguson's former personal dresser, who was convicted of murdering her boyfriend in 2000.

A source close to the show said, as per The Times, "It's not a flattering portrayal of Fergie at all but they've got duty lawyers on standby in case of more spectacular royal revelations".

Actress Natalie Dormer, who plays Ferguson, donated her salary to UK charities supporting survivors of child abuse and refused to take part in any promotion for the show.

Dormer called Ferguson's behaviour "inexcusable" after it was revealed the former duchess had called Epstein a "supreme friend" in an email.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been keeping a low profile since their father was taken into custody and later released.

According to The Times, both girls had not been planning on seeing their father for his birthday, even if he had not been arrested.

Sources close to the family said Andrew's arrest had been "catastrophic" for them.

Last week Princess Eugenie was reported to have been seen on a skiing trip in the Swiss Alps. She has maintained a low profile and has not posted on her public Instagram account for several weeks.

Princess Beatrice was last seen visiting her father at Royal Lodge in January along with her daughter, Sienna.

Both sisters are not working royals but occasionally attend royal-related family events. They were seen alongside King Charles at Sandringham for Christmas in December.
