The shakeup at KIIS FM is continuing, with another star announcing they will be leaving the network after his former co-host Amy Gerard landed the coveted Sydney Breakfast gig.

Chris Page, who co-hosted weekend mornings alongside Gerard, shared the announcement on his Instagram and revealed he will be leaving ARN.

“Well, I guess it’s time to find myself a new co-host!” he posted on Monday alongside a collection of snaps, kicked off with one of him and Gerard.

But as he went on, he confirmed he is in fact moving on..

“Actually, no. I realised some time ago that trying to find a co-host, friend, therapist, and co-conspirator as good as Amy Gerard would be a near-impossible effort, and hard work is one of my main dislikes,” he continued.

“It just wouldn’t be fair on whichever poor bugger they dug up.

“KIIS agree, and Amy’s rocket to radio superstardom blasts off on a brand new breakfast show in a few weeks time.

“The weekend breakfast show has finished up at a time that works for us both, and I want to stress my departure from ARN has been very friendly.

“I’m very grateful to DB and the whole time at KIIS for an amazing few years, in a job that has allowed me thousands of extra hours with my kids.

“I already know that watching Amy’s star rise over many years to come will fill me with a great deal of pride and happiness.”

Page urged his followers to listen in as Gerard hits the airwaves alongside Dr Chris Brown and Jack Charles, while he has a new children’s book series coming out.

In February this year, former co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson parted ways after an on-air spat, which led to both of them being axed by the network.

The once close friends became embroiled in their own legal fights against the network for unfair dismissal, Sandilands has since settled while Henderson is due back in court later this month.
