Kelly Clarkson darts off stage mid-song after suffering a wardrobe malfunction

Kelly Clarkson was forced to rush off stage mid-song while performing in Minneapolis on Tuesday after suffering a wardrobe malfunction.

The first American Idol winner, 41, started signing Catch My Breath when she realised she had busted out of her top.

"I think my boob's showing!" Clarkson said with a laugh before darting off stage.

"Am I good? Wait, hold on. Should I fix it?" she said before running off.

''She's funny," one fan commented underneath a clip shared of the moment on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"So funny that she questions to get it fixed like uh yeah gurl you should," another wrote.

Clarkson made headlines six months ago for another performance, but this time it was a giant abcdefu to her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

She changed key lyrics of Gayle's song to seemingly deliver a melodic slap in the face to Blackstock.

On a recent episode of Clarkson's The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Stronger singer added her own twist to abcdefu's chorus, in a move many are interpreting to have been inspired by her tumultous split from Blackstock, 46.

"Forget you and your dad/ And the fact that you got half," Clarkson sang. "And my broken heart/ Turned that s--t into art."

Gayle, meanwhile, originally sings in her hit tune: "F--k you and your mum/ And your sister and you job / And your broke-ass car/ And that s--t you call art."

In June 2020, Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock after seven years of marriage.

Following an intense two-year-long legal battle over the former couple's assets, Clarkson and Blackstock's divorce was settled in March 2022.

Clarkson agreed to make a one-time payment of $US1.3 million (approx. $1.9 million) to Blackstock, and he also receives $US46,000 (approx. $68,800) a month in child support and $US115,000 (approx. $172,000) a month in spousal support, which will expire in January 2024.

The singer and Blackstock, a talent manager, also fought over their ranch in Montana, which Clarkson was ultimately awarded.
