‘We are devastated’: Beloved duo to exit KIIS

Hugely popular radio duo as Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw will leave KIIS at the end of 2026.

The hosts behind the Will & Woody Show will depart after eight years with the network, as ARN looks to take a “refreshed approach” to its lineup in 2027.

“We are devastated we won’t be continuing to do what we truly love next year and will sorely miss hearing the stories of everyone who contributed to the show,” McMahon and Whitelaw said in a statement.

“It was always the listeners who made the show, so we are deeply thankful to you all.

“We are also incredibly grateful to ARN for allowing us to live out our dream for the last 8 years.

“Guess we’ll now have to finally figure out how to make LinkedIn profiles.”

Jackie O says ARN misled market over Kyle bust-up

The duo have been with KIIS since 2019 and command a loyal national audience across radio, social media, and podcasts.

ARN Chief Content Officer Kerri Elstub said they had made “a huge contribution to the network” in a statement.

“They’ve brought their own unique energy, humour and personality to KIIS and we thank them for everything they’ve given the network over the years.

“We wish Will & Woody all the very best for the future and look forward to seeing what they do next.

“In the meantime, they still have plenty of great radio ahead of them before the end of the year, and we look forward to celebrating their contribution and giving them the send-off they deserve.”

McMahon and Whitelaw’s exit comes seven months after ARN lost powerhouse duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson.

Henderson took time off after an on-air bust up with Sandilands in February, then ARN announced her exit from The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Henderson insisted she had not quit or resigned.

Sandilands was then pulled off-air and his contract with ARN was terminated, prompting Sandilands to kick off a $100 million lawsuit against his former employer in March.

Exactly one week after Sandilands filed his suit, Henderson filed a $82.25 million suit against ARN.

ARN reached a $12 million settlement with Sandilands in June, while Henderson’s contract claim will head to court next month.

Sandilands has since kicked off his own independent subscription breakfast show, Kyle Sandilands Live, where he has continued his shock jock antics in between technical difficulties.

Henderson has been lying low since her radio exit, but it’s unlikely she’ll return as part of ARN’s revamped 2027 breakfast radio offering.
