Their romance captured headlines. Now after a whirlwind trip across the world, JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs have called it quits

Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa and her partner Kath Ebbs were head over heels for each other, but now it appears the relationship is over.

Siwa, 21, finished a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother UK house earlier this week, and Ebbs had flown from Australia to reunite with them after the show.

But according to Ebbs, Siwa broke up with them at the show's afterparty just hours later.

Ebbs shared the sad update in an emotional TikTok video, sharing that they felt "humiliated" and "in a complete state of shock". Siwa is yet to comment on the video.

Those who have been keeping up with the pair online and on the celebrity reality show may already be clued into how this has all come to a head.

But for the uninitiated, here is a rundown of everything that's happened between Kath Ebbs and JoJo Siwa so far starting from the very beginning. 

Who is Kath Ebbs?

Kath Ebbs is a queer Australian content creator, actor, model, DJ and podcaster. They have long been a figure of the Australian social media scene and used their platform for queer advocacy and mental health awareness alongside other passions. 

You may also recognise Ebbs from the soap opera Neighbours, as they starred as the show's first non-binary character Asher Nesmith in 2022.

Who is JoJo Siwa?

Siwa found fame as a child on the American reality show Dance Moms. She appeared on the show as a young dancer for two seasons. 

After the show she went on to sign with Nickelodeon and build her brand as a performer starring in several TV and film appearances, releasing music and building her fame and the JoJo Siwa brand.

In 2024, she rebranded and debuted her post-Nickelodeon image and her debut single Karma.

JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs' relationship

Siwa and Ebbs were first linked late last year.

Rumours that were dating blew up after Ebbs posted a series of TikTok videos with the singer in December. 

The relationship was later confirmed, with Ebbs sharing a TikTok video referring to Siwa as their "American Girlfriend". 

Siwa later hard-launched their relationship with a series of photos of the couple looking cosy together, with the caption, "Photos from my girlfriend's camera roll".

The post has since been deleted from Siwa's account.

Ebbs followed it up with a post of their own, writing, "bit of queer joy for ya feed today".

In an interview with Pedestrian TV, Ebbs shared that the pair met through Australian musician G Flip. 

"[Siwa and G Flip are] really good friends, and one night we just all went and hung out," Ebbs said. 

"Then me and Jo were friends for like, six months after that."

"I've never had such an emotional connection. Obviously she's objectively beautiful, but it was just like such an intense emotional connection," they later added.

The pair continued to appear in TikTok and Instagram posts together until Siwa left to appear on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

Have JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs split up?

Ebbs revealed in a Instagram video that the pair split after Ebbs joined Siwa at the Celebrity Big Brother UK finale in London. 

"I'm filming this in a complete state of shock," they started a TikTok video to their 156k followers.

They then explained they had been "hurt" watching certain things unfold on the reality show and "not being able to get any clarity from the person that is involved".

"It's actually crazy," Ebbs continued. "I went to the afterparty with my I guess now ex, crazy thing to say and was dumped at the party."

What reason did JoJo Siwa give for the breakup?

It's difficult to say exactly what happened between the pair, as we are yet to hear from Siwa on the breakup.

According to Ebbs, Siwa had a change of heart about their relationship.

"I was told that there are confused feelings there – do with that what you will – and that they had realised in the house that I wasn't the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable [future with]," they said.

Some fans on social media have raised eyebrows at the close bond Siwa formed with fellow Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes.

In a recent episode of the reality show, the singer revealed that she felt "very confused" and felt "guilty for how happy she's been [on the show]".

However, both Siwa and Love Island UK star Hughes stated their relationship is purely platonic.

Hughes did share a photo alongside Siwa on his Instagram page after leaving the house, showing the pair enjoying a meal together with a group of friends.

"Band back together," the caption read.

Hughes and Siwa are set to make their first joint TV appearance on Tuesday morning in the UK, where many are hoping they'll get answers about their bond.

How long were JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs together? 

We can't be sure of exact dates of their relationship but from the time they first hard-launched their relationship online until Ebbs recent post, their relationship lasted approximately four months.
