Jan Brady (aka Eve Plumb) speaks out decades after The Brady Bunch: 'Isn't Jan dead yet?'

It's been 48 years since The Brady Bunch premiered, introducing the world to a lovable blended family – and one epic sister rivalry.

Eve Plumb, who played middle daughter Jan Brady, is now 59 and speaking out about her life after the show.

"I'll always be Jan Brady to so many people. I can't escape it, but I can do other things," she says in a new interview with CloserCloser, before joking, "Isn't [Jan] dead yet?"

But the California native doesn't resent having played the iconic TV character on-screen for six years, from 1969 to 1974.

"If it gets me in the door [for jobs], then fine!" she said. "If you're surprised to learn I can do other things, then great!"

Eve has recently had guest roles on Blue Bloods and Law & Order: SVU, as well as a part in last year's Grease Live starring Julianne Hough.

She previously reprised her role in the 1981 TV special The Brady Girls Get Married and the short-lived sitcom The Brady Brides, as well as several other Brady spin-offs.

"I had so much success as a child," she told Closer. "But once you age out of being the cute kid, then what? If you're not ready for it, it can be very difficult."

Eve credits her parents for keeping her on the right track.

"My father ran my career and invested my money very well," she said. "My mother was with me on set every day. They never took a cent from me!"

Now, she's avid painter and has been married to Ken Pace since 1995. She's also active on Instagram.
