Home and Away's upcoming prison riot episode will be its most violent ever
When we think of Home and Away, blazing guns isn't generally the first thing that comes to mind.
That's all about to change…for at least one episode. On January 26, Foxtel will air a Home and Away "special event" in which a prison riot leads to violence and gunfire.
In what is being called the most violent episode the series has ever aired, Heath Braxton (played by Dan Ewing) and his wife Bianca (Lisa Gormley) are visiting his brother Kyle (Nic Westaway) in prison when the situation erupts.
Drug dealer Trevor "Gunno" Gunson (Diarmid Heidenreich) seizes the opportunity to kill both Braxtons by launching a riot.
The episode was filmed at Paramatta Correctional Centre in west Sydney, where residents in the area were warned before filming commenced.
It's not every day that someone fires a gun in the neighbourhood. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the shoot.
Foxtel will air the episode, titled "Home and Away: All or Nothing", on January 26. It will also stream on Presto.
