All the stars you didn't realise - or forgot - were in Harry Potter
Harry Potter no doubt was the book and film franchise of a generation.
The films smashed international box office records and helped put main stars including Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint on the map.
But did you realise just how many other stars were in the hit films?
9honey Celebrity takes a look at some of the famous faces who made brief background or cameo appearances in the films long before they were famous – and some stars we forgot played some important characters.
Joe Alwyn
Social media is abuzz with talk Joe Alwyn might have been in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
A Hogwarts student, who looks like a young Alwyn, is seen clapping and cheering in the background of a scene as Dumbledore reads the results of one leg of the Triwizard Tournament in the fourth movie.
The clip is doing the rounds on TikTok, with fans convinced it's the British actor – though there's been no confirmation yet.
Julianne Hough
Julianne Hough recently revealed she was an extra in Harry Potter, playing a cheering Gryffindor student at a Quidditch match.

The actress and Dancing With the Stars alum shared throwback snaps of herself in the film to mark its 20th anniversary.
"Happy 20th Anniversary Harry Potter! Remember that one time when I was 11 and a Gryffindor? Oh and apparently liked flirting with the Weasley twins?" she joked.
She also told People about the present she gave her crush Daniel Radcliffe: "I gave him a love note and a Beanie Baby for Valentine's Day."
Tom Ackerley
Margot Robbie's husband Tom Ackerley had a role as an extra, getting pushed out the way by Harry's nemesis, Draco Malfoy.

Robbie once said on The Graham Norton Show, "My husband is in the Harry Potter movies."
"I was like, "Had you told me sooner we would've been married very quickly.'"
The couple now head up the production company they co-founded, LuckyChap Entertainment.
Derek Hough
Like his sister, Derek Hough briefly appeared in the first Harry Potter film.
"There's a specific scene where Hermione is leaving for Christmas while carrying her suitcase. We pass in the hallway. I was holding an owl. That's my big moment. I'm right in the camera's viewpoint, so every time you look at Hermione, you can see me, clear as day," he told Entertainment Weekly about the extra role.
Regé-Jean Page
In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Regé-Jean Page made an appearance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
He was in the wedding scene when the characters are told the Ministry of Magic had fallen.

John Cleese
You might not remember this, but John Cleese delighted fans (or perhaps scared the younger ones) when he portrayed the ghost Nearly Headless Nick in the hit films.
