Cristiano Ronaldo proposes to long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez with insane rock

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are engaged! 

The 40-year old soccer superstar has finally locked down his partner of eight years, with her announcing the news officially on Instagram. 

Rodriguez, 31, posted a snap of herself wearing what can only be described as a massive diamond rock on her finger, as his hand rested underneath hers. 

"Yes I do. In this and in all my lives," she captioned the post.

Rodriguez's comments were quickly filled with fans congratulating the happy couple on their engagement.

The engagement ring features an oval shaped diamond, which is absolutely massive. 

The couple first confirmed their relationship in early 2017, meeting at the Gucci store where she worked. 

They made their first official appearance together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017, before going Instagram official in May of that year.

During Rodriguez's Netflix series, I am Georgina, the couple opened up about the early years of their relationship. 

According to an English audio translation at the time, Ronaldo thought she was a "very interesting girl, so much more mature for her age."

"Many times he'd come after work," Rodriguez recalled. 

"He would come, I remember once, in a Bugatti. My coworkers went crazy. They get there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. I mean, people couldn't believe it."

Ronaldo and Rodriguez share five children: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, eight, daughter Alana, seven, daughter Bella, three, and 15-year-old son Cristiano Jr., whom Ronaldo welcomed in a previous relationship.

He and Rodriguez previously announced the death of Bella's newborn twin brother, Ángel, in April 2022.

In recent years they've sparked rumours they were engaged, or even secretly married.

Ronaldo referred to her as his "wife" in a clip on Instagram in 2024, sending fans into a frenzy.

Although it looks like that was just wishful thinking up until now, with the soccer great now officially off the market.
