British singer Craig David thrilled fans on Sunday when he made a surprise appearance at a festival in London and performed a rendition of one of his biggest hits.

David, 43, stepped out at the famous Notting Hill Carnival, which celebrates Caribbean culture and music, right in the heart of the city.

The singer shared a video on Instagram of himself walking through the streets of Notting Hill and performing a rendition of his hit song, 7 Days.

"When 7 Days meets Taxi Riddim 👀🎶😮‍💨 As soon as I heard that sound system my inner child took over & in that moment I knew exactly the assignment🔥🎤❤️," he captioned his post.

"Bruv I would have killed to be there to see something like this happen off the cuff," one follower wrote underneath his post.

"Pure joy!" Another added.

Notting Hill Carnival runs from August 25-26 and local reports are saying one million revellers are expected to attend.

David released his hit single 7 Days in 2000, topping international charts.

He is also known for hits including Fill Me In and Walking Away.

He recently announced he's set to tour the UK on his Commitment tour early next year.

"I'm so excited to announce my 'Commitment Tour' is coming to the UK next year💫 I can't wait to see you all there, this one's going to be beyond a vibe," he wrote.

The tour kicks off in February and includes dates at London's 02, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.
