Astronomer HR executive Kristin Cabot has resigned from her position after a clip of her and the company's CEO, Andy Byron, went viral on social media.

People reports that a representative for Astronomer has confirmed that Cabot, who worked as the company's Chief People Officer, has resigned and is "no longer with the company".

The news comes just days after Astronomer announced that Byron had also resigned from his position.

The pair went viral last week when a clip taken at a Coldplay concert at Boston's Gillette Stadium was posted online.

In the video, Cabot and Byron appeared on the screen during a 'kiss-cam' segment of the concert with their arms wrapped around one another.

However, as soon as they realised what was going on, the pair quickly parted ways with Byron ducking behind a railing and Cabot turned her back to the camera to cover her face.

"Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy," Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, quipped of the moment.

The clip, shared by Grace Springer, went viral on social media and just a few days later, Astronomer announced that Byron had resigned from his position.

"Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met," Astronomer wrote in a post shared to X (formerly Twitter).

"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.

"The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO."

DeJoy also shared his own statement, writing on LinkedIn that, "the spotlight has been unusual and surreal" for the team.

Springer – the woman who shared the original clip which now has over 120 million views on TikTok – has said that the reaction has been "overwhelming to say the least".

While she admitted she made no money from the clip, Springer shared that she doesn't regret sharing it.

"But as I said, there was over 50,000 people and I'm not the only one that caught it on camera.

"So if it wasn't me who uploaded it, I'm sure someone else would have."
