Taylor Swift is headed back to Australia like we've never seen before.

The pop superstar is taking her Eras Tour global once again but this time, there's a catch.

Today it was announced that 13 different wax figures of Swift will be distributed to Madame Tussauds locations across four different continents and while it may not be the second Eras Tour we've all been wishing for – at least it won't be too hard to get tickets?

Swifties will finally be able to snap a picture with their favourite popstar, with the project being labelled the "most ambitious" in Madame Tussauds 250-year history.

Twelve of the 13 wax figures will be distributed across museums in Sydney, Berlin, Budapest, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, London, Nashville, New York, Orlando and Blackpool, England.

The 13th figure will start out in Madame Tussauds in Shanghai before travelling around the world – so it kind of is like the Eras Tour all over again if you squint!

No two wax figures will be the same with each one set to sport a different Eras Tour look.

Unfortunately, we don't yet know which era we'll be seeing here in Sydney.

Madame Tussauds' senior figure stylist Danielle Cullen said in a statement that the museum has worked closely with several of Swift's Eras Tour outfit designers to recreate her looks.

Roberto Cavalli, Vivienne Westwood, Versace, Christian Louboutin, Alberta Ferretti and Etro were among the names listed.

Cullen also added that "many" of the looks will "have a special significance to the 13 cities new figures will call home".

So, Swifites, get your detective hats on and let's figure out what we're getting here in Sydney, there has to be an Easter egg somewhere.

"It feels a fitting celebration to give Swifties the chance to commemorate moments from this once-in-a-generation tour in a way that only Madame Tussauds can," Cullen added.

She shared that the sheer scale of the project "only feels right to reflect the stratospheric status of Taylor Swift."
