When it comes to items with an expensive price tag, celebrities are notorious for splashing the big bucks.
And one thing plenty of stars seem to like to spend big on is engagement rings.
A-listers like Elizabeth Taylor and Paris Hilton have been presented with extravagant rocks that are worth more than the cost of an average house in Australia!
For context, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported the average price of housing in 2024 is $959,300.

She was a Hollywood actress first, but Grace Kelly married into royalty – and she had an expensive ring to show for it.
The actress got engaged to Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956.
To celebrate their engagement, Rainier gifted the star a 10-carat emerald-cut sparkler.
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
Serena Williams got engaged to Reddit co-founder and millionaire Alexis Ohanian on December 29, 2016.
Given Ohanian's impressive net worth, it's hardly surprising the entrepreneur splashed big on an engagement ring.
