Britney Spears and Sam Asghari set their wedding date: 'Nobody will know'

Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari's wedding date has been locked in.

Asghari, who is a fitness instructor-turned actor, announced via his Instagram Stories on Sunday that he and his bride-to-be have set a wedding date.

"Our lives have been a real life fairytale," he wrote over a photo from when the pair got engaged in September 2021.

"Happy Mother's Day to you my soon to be queen."

Asghari added, "Also the big day has been set!" before noting that the exact date will be kept secret. "But nobody will know until the day after."

Spears herself also gave fans a subtle detail about her wedding planning, showing off a strip of her veil in a new Instagram post.

"Introducing Wendy 🐈 !!!" she wrote, revealing her new cat. "And yes, this is the veil to my wedding dress 👰🏼‍♀️ !!!"

In November 2021, Spears announced that she had chosen longtime friend and designer Donatella Versace to make her wedding dress.

"Donatella Versace is making my dress as we speak," she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. "Have a good night folks !!!!"

Spears, 40, and Asghari, 28, got engaged in September last year after over four years of dating. The pair met while on the set of Spears' 2016 'Slumber Party' music video and went Instagram official one year later.

Last month, Spears announced she and Asghari were expecting their first child together.

"I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ … I thought 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said 'No you're food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!' So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 …" her caption began.

"4 days later I got a little more food pregnant 🤰🏼🙈🙈🙈 It's growing !!! If 2 are in there … I might just loose it 😬😬😬😬😬😬 …"

The couple has reportedly been excited to start a family for a while now, with a source telling Us Weekly last July, "Sam would love to start a family with Britney."

The source continued: "Sam also sees marriage in his and Britney's future when the time is right and they are able to wed without the restraints of her conservatorship."
