Britney Spears is pregnant, expecting first child with Sam Asghari

Oh baby, baby. Britney Spears is pregnant!

The pop princess announced to Instagram this morning she is expecting her first child with her fiancé Sam Asghari, who she refers to as her husband in her lengthy caption.

"I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ … I thought 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said 'No you're food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!' So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 …" her caption began.

"4 days later I got a little more food pregnant 🤰🏼🙈🙈🙈 It's growing !!! If 2 are in there … I might just loose it 😬😬😬😬😬😬 …" she continued.

Asghari confirmed the happy news in an Instagram post, saying he was looking forward to fatherhood.

Like Spears, he too alluded that the pair were husband and wife as he shared his thoughts on "marriage".

"Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect," he captioned an illustration of two lions and a lion cub.

"Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don't take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do."

In her post, Spears, 40, said she "obviously" will not be venturing outside as much now due to paparazzi trying to get their "money shot of [her]," and referenced experiencing perinatal depression in her previous pregnancies.

She shares two children, 16-year-old Sean Preston Federline and 15-year-old Jayden James Federline, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

"I have to say it is absolutely horrible 😔," the 'Baby One More Time' hitmaker said of her perinatal depression.

"Women didn't talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her … but now women talk about it everyday … thank Jesus we don't have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret 🤫 😬😬😬 …

"This time I will be doing yoga 🧘‍♀️ every day !!! Spreading lots of joy and love 💕 !!!" her post concluded.

Spears and Asghari, 28, got engaged in September last year after over four years of dating.

Asghari met the pop star on set of Spears' 2016 'Slumber Party' music video and went Instagram official one year later.

Spears has been vocal about her love for Asghari, particularly in how he supported her through the end of her strict 13-year conservatorship.

The couple reportedly have been excited to start a family for a while now, with a source telling US Weekly last July, "Sam would love to start a family with Britney."

The source continued: "Sam also sees marriage in his and Britney's future when the time is right and they are able to wed without the restraints of her conservatorship."
