Breaking! Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange speak out about elevator attack

Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange have finally broken their silence on the elevator fight that shocked the world.

We've been speculating for days about what caused Solange to violently lash out at her brother-in-law ever since the video was made public. But the famously private couple and Bey's sis have remained silent on the incident until now.

The trio just released a carefully worded joint statement to The Associated Press: "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident," the stars say.

And of course they leave us hanging by not actually explaining why it happened! The fam is quick to shoot down the "drunk Solange" rumour though. "The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behaviour throughout that evening are simply false," the statement reads.

What is interesting is that Jay and Solange both take the blame for the mysterious fight.

"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred," the statement confirms.

"They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family." That's great for them, but we're still left hanging!
