Beckham friends hit back after Brooklyn labels sister’s visit a ‘choreographed’ stunt

Friends of David and Victoria Beckham have hit back at claims from son Brooklyn Beckham that they are using his younger sister as a pawn in the family’s ongoing feud.
It comes after the youngest Beckham, 14-year-old daughter Harper, was photographed arriving at her eldest brother’s Los Angeles home last week with a handwritten letter.

While neither Brooklyn, 27, nor his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, were home, the couple’s rep released a statement accusing his family of setting it up.
“That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras,” they said.
In response, friends close to David and Victoria told the Daily Mail that was a “nasty accusation”.
“It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother,” they said.
“Nothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.”
The friends also claimed Brooklyn had not accepted contact from Harper or his grandparents since the fallout, which began publicly when Brooklyn released a scathing statement denouncing his parents and “brand Beckham” in January.
His parents and three siblings – Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper – were in Los Angeles for the unveiling of David’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

The absence of Brooklyn was obvious, so much so that a reporter asked David about the toll of the family fallout.
“To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about,” the star told Variety.
However, in the same interview he also gushed about having “four incredible kids” and said his family was his priority.

“But we always make time for each other, and we always have. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa,” Beckham said.
“And as busy as we are, our family always comes first.
“That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’ve been together for so long. Our priority will always be our family.”
