How the 2024 Australian Open has boosted the Instagram following of these tennis star partners
The spotlight on the Australian Open also means a spotlight on those sitting in the stands supporting the tennis stars – namely their partners.
The female partners of players have seen a substantial boom in their Instagram following with this year's tournament, according to research conducted by QR Code Generator, QRFY
They used influencer marketing tools to examine the social media profiles of these figures, as well as establish approximately how much they would earn per post.
A spokesperson from QRFY said in a statement: "From managing their own careers and public personas to balancing the demands of their partner's schedule and the constant spotlight, the pressure on [partners] can be immense. Their appearance, behaviour and their relationships face constant speculation and criticism.
"Despite these challenges, many [partners], such as Morgan Riddle, navigate this intense world with grace and resilience, and fashion their own identities while being a pillar of support to their partner."

Morgan Riddle
Morgan Riddle, girlfriend of US tennis player Taylor Fritz, has seen the biggest boom in Instagram followers since the start of the tournament.
The 26-year-old tennis It-girl added a whopping 29,215 to her following list throughout the Grand Slam, with the grand total coming to 235,000 followers.
She has been regularly posting content to her channels about her outfits and overall fashion at the Melbourne event.
Riddle first rose to fame as an influencer after posting a "Get Ready With Me" TikTok video trying on outfits for the Australian Open 2022.
The video launched her influencer career, with the former real-estate agent even hosting a video series titled "Wimbledon Threads", about the fashion at the UK tournament.
The New York Times has recently dubbed her the "most famous woman in men's tennis" for her cultural influence over the tennis sphere.
With her new following in the wake of the Australian Open, Riddle is expected to earn approximately $4,248.61 per sponsored post.
Paige Lorenze
Paige Lorenze's following has also skyrocketed with her appearance at the Austalian Open.
The girlfriend of US tennis player Tommy Paul, she has earned an additional 8,611 followers, with her total coming to 554,000 followers.
With each sponsored post, Lorenze is expected to earn up to $8,039.73.
Lorenze has been an influencer long before she met and started dating Paul in 2022.
She began posting lifestyle content in 2020 and launched her own clothing and lifestyle brand, Dairy Boy, in 2021.
She has also been associated with a number of other famous faces, having in the past dated the likes of NHL hockey player Kasperi Kapanen, actor Armie Hammer, country singer Morgan Wallen, and television personality Tyler Cameron.
Sophia Thomalla
Sophia Thomalla, the girlfriend of German tennis player Alexander Zverev, was the third most popular WAG in the stands.
The German actress, model, and television presenter's following grew by 6,780 in the past two weeks, bringing her total to 1.4 million followers.
In light of this, she stands to earn a whopping $16,688.21 per sponsored Instagram post.
Thomalla began dating Zverev in 2021 but had forged her career long before that.
The 34-year-old, the daughter of German actors Simone Thomalla and André Vetters, began her acting career in 2007.
She was married to Norwegian singer Andy LaPlegua for one year, announcing their divorce in 2017.
Ayan Broomfield
Ayan Broomfield, girlfriend of US tennis player Frances Tiafoe, saw the fourth highest rise in followers since the beginning of the Aus Open.
A tennis player herself, the Canadian native earned an extra 1,926 followers, with her total following now at 56,600.
Per sponsored post, she stands to earn up to $1,389.56.
