Billions actor Damian Lewis gives an insight into life on the road as he tours his jazz-rock band across the UK

While we're currently gripped watching Bobby 'Axe' Axelrod in the final-ever season of Billions, actor Damian Lewis is off chasing his passion for music in the UK.

The British actor, 52, is currently on tour across the country, and this week he shared an epic video of life on tour with his jazz-rock band.

"The pre-show warm-up is back," he wrote alongside a video of him doing some bizarre mouth movements, before doing a joyous pre-show ritual with his bandmates.

Damian was then seen with a drink in hand doing a dance, right before storming out on-stage to a bevy of screaming fans.

"How every show should finish," he concluded the clip, which saw him frantically playing the guitar like a rock star with a huge grin on his face.

After taking a step back from acting, Damian announced his musical venture on Instagram earlier this year.

"After leaving school as a teen and before acting took off for me, I took to the road with a guitar and went busking through continental Europe," he wrote.

"During lockdown I had the time and opportunity to throw myself back into music and write a record that encapsulates my journey from busking to now."

His first ever single 'Down On The Bowery' came out in April 2023, and his debut album Mission Creep was released in June this year.

An album he describes as a "collection of rock and jazz-tinged songs".

"Who knew??" he said at the time of the album's release.

"Writing, curating and designing the album has been a lot of fun. Sure it's a risk changing lanes, people don't always like it…..but I hope YOU like it," he said.

Damian did not appear in Season 6 of Billions, as he wanted to spend more time with his family and be largely located in England.

Damian tragically lost his wife, actress Helen McCrory, in 2021. She passed away at the age of 52 following a battle with breast cancer.

The actor has reprised his role in the final ever season of Billions, which is currently airing weekly on Fridays, only on Stan.
