'Hear me out': 1000-Lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton defends herself after fiery row with sister Amy Slaton

1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has begged fans to "hear her out" as she took to social media to defend herself after a fiery row with sister Amy Slaton.

Tammy faced online backlash following a recent episode of Season 6 that showed the sisters getting into a heated argument will riding in a limousine.

"Everybody hates me right now because of the limo scene but there is a backstory. Hear me out, please," Tammy told her followers in a video posted to Instagram.

The episode followed Tammy and Amy on a girls' night out where they first went to a burlesque dance class and then rode in a limousine.

Tammy was irritated by Amy's wild antics – namely burping and talking about inappropriate topics with the driver.

Embarrassed by Amy's behaviour, Tammy erupted into a fury and it resulted in a fiery blow-up between the siblings.

Many viewers and fans were confused by Tammy's outburst of emotions, but the 38-year-old explained that there was more to the story.

Tammy shared her thoughts in a statement posted online.  Instagram @queentammy66

In her video, Tammy said that she "loves Amy to death" but claimed her sister wasn't in the best state at the time of filming.

She also said there were many moments viewers didn't see in the lead-up to their argument.

Tammy asked viewers to consider what goes on when the cameras are off before jumping to conclusions.

"Everybody assumes everything is caught on camera and it's not," she explained.

"I'm not always the bad guy here and I'm not trying to be a victim either.

"I just wish people would get the story straight before judging and assuming."

Fans have followed Tammy and Amy for years on their TV show. 9Now

Tammy did apologise to her sister in the video, saying: "I am sorry for the way I treated her and I'm sorry for the names I called her, but at the same time she's reckless and didn't care about nothing. That was embarrasing for me.

"I am sorry, I do love you... but I have to be honest and true to myself."

In the comment section of Tammy's post fans remained divided over the matter.

Some showed their support for the sisters and looked forward to a "reconciliation to resolve differences" while others remained firm on their view that Tammy "got it wrong this time".

It's been a big year for the sisters as they kicked major personal goals in their weight loss journey and also faced some difficult personal issues.

Tammy marked losing more than 500 lbs (226kgs) while Amy focused on raising her two young boys Gage, four, and Glenn, two, after her separation from their dad Michael Haltermann.
