Committed cop clings to getaway taxi

A dedicated cop has clung desperately to the bonnet of a taxi as it sped away from police in an outrageous chase.

Another car following the taxi filmed the drama, pulling up alongside the cab to show the determined officer clutching onto the windscreen wipers.

The car speeds along snow-caked roads in Bishkek, in Chuy Province, Kyrgyzstan, ignorant of the body on the bonnet, London's Metro newspaper reports.

The officer eventually falls off the vehicle after a short chase, and the taxi driver speeds away.

Unperturbed, the officer gets up, dusts himself off climbs into another car which continues the chase.
