Exclusive: David Genat dives into the heart of Ireland and its captivating countryside ahead of tonight's Rush 2023 adventure

Top of the morning to you! The Rush contestants are off to Ireland.

And just to be sure that you know what to expect of the Emerald Isle, host David Genat has given us an exclusive tour ahead of Episode 6 of Rush which will air at 7:30pm tonight.

Dublin, the "beating heart of Ireland" is the first stop on the contestant's Irish adventure.

"It's a city of contrasts where old meets new and tradition dances with modernism," David explains.

"Its roots trace back to the time of Vikings, who settled along the banks of the River Liffey in the ninth century."

You'll hear laughter and song aplenty along the streets of Dublin which are lined with lively pubs, bustling shops and trendy cafes.

Beyond Dublin's vibrant city, a world of breathtaking beauty unfolds in the Irish countryside.

The Cliffs of Moher are just one unmissable site in County Clare.

"Mighty and unyielding they stand as a testament to nature's power, a dramatic tapestry of rugged cliffs the plunge into the mighty Atlantic," David says.

A land of tales, you can also expect plenty of stories to come from the Irish journey.

A visit to Blarney Castle will make you privvy to the lefend of the Blarney Stone, "A mystical relic shrouded in magic and whimsy".

"The stone itself is said to be a fragment of the Stone of Destiny," David explains.
