'Revolting outburst': Brooke bursts into tears following tense confrontation with Jacqui on The Summit 2023

Make a group of 14 strangers spend 24 hours a day together trying to reach The Summit of the mountain and there's bound to be some friction.

And that's exactly what happened when Jacqui and Brooke clashed heads in Episode of 3 The Summit. You can watch the tense moment in the video above.

On a downhill journey some of the trekkers including Brooke decided to take the fast way down and roll down the hill. Jacqui – who has had multiple hip and knee operations – wasn't willing to take the risk.

While rolling down the hill, Brooke narrowly avoided knocking Jacqui, leaving the Olympian frustrated.

"I don't need a Brooke coming in and wiping out my femur because she wants to slide down grass, it's silly," Jacqui told cameras. 

That was where problems started brewing for the pair, and they only escalated later when Brooke swore around Jacqui when her shoelace caught on fire.

While Brooke didn't seem to think much of the situation, Jacqui quickly vented to her fellow trekkers about the incident.

"That was just a revolting outburst for no reason," Jacqui said of the incident. 

"I was already pretty angry earlier today while she was sliding into the back of me.  

"I'm not one for setting quiet so if I have an opinion she needs to listen to it."

Jacqui called Brooke over to confront her and Brooke apologised and explained that she wasn't swearing at Jacqui, she was just frustrated her shoe lace was on fire.    

"I just freaked out because there was a fire. I'm really sorry, Jacqui," Brooke apologised yet again.

But Jacqui didn't seem to accept the apology simply telling Brooke it's "not cool".

"I'm still so filthy, she should book a ticket back to Queenstown," Jacqui told cameras.  

"I'm not sure if this mountain is big enough for Brooke and I... but if she keeps getting in my way, I'm going to give her an elbow to the right."

Following the confrontation, Brooke burst into tears.

"She had every right to say something to me but Jacqui is pretty harsh but she just didn't seem to want to take my apology," she cried to cameras.

"We all make mistakes."
