"I've never been anywhere before, leaving Western Sydney it's just going to be chaotic," the 22-year-old said in an exclusive chat with 9Entertainment.

He admitted he can come across as "cocky" and "a bit over-confident" but thinks the experience will "smack some reality into [him]."

But the youngster definitely has a soft side and said his main motivation for winning Rush and snapping up the $100,000 prize is to repay his family.

You can get to know Adam in the video above.

"I've seen what mum and my family has sacrificed, especially for me," he told cameras.

"I'm desperate to win it because if there's an opportunity to set my mum up and help my family, my sister anyone around me, that's my goal."

And he likes to think the people around him know that he's got their best interest at heart.

"For anyone that knows me they'd say I'm caring, I'm loyal..."

Adam is "keen" to embark on his round-the-world adventure but is also "extremely nervous" of the unknown factor.

"I've got no clue at all. I feel so blind right now and I'm hating being this unaware.

Adam is keen to represent his Western Sydney community on the global stage.

"I will never ever shy away from saying where I'm from, it doesn't just represent me it represents a lot of people," he said.

"I'm gonna show them what a little bloke with a mullet and a mo' from Western Sydney can do."
