Rebecca Harding spills her thoughts on 'The Block celebrity edition' with fiancée Andy Lee as they renovate Melbourne mansion
Rebecca Harding's engagement to Andy Lee was 10 years in the making.
Now, the business owner and The Hundred host are putting their love to the ultimate test renovating an abandoned 150-year-old mansion in Melbourne.

No doubt a mammoth task, with at least two more years until the renovations will be finished, Today Extra host David Campbell asked what everyone was thinking.
"Is this a stand alone project or are you auditioning for The Block celebrity edition, what are we talking here?" David quizzed Bec as she appeared on Today Extra this week.

"We've just finished watching The Block the other night," Bec revealed.
"But no, I'm not cut out for that," she laughed.

"But then we look at all this footage and I'm like, 'What on earth are we doing?'" she said before admitting her and Andy are mostly "leaving it up to the professionals".
She joked that Andy wasn't exactly handy on the tools either.
"He loves to go around and act like he's doing something," Bec told the hosts. "He'll pick up a shovel and be like, 'Here, get a little photo of me with the shovel'."

One job they've definitely left up to the professionals is the giant tunnel they plan on building underneath.
The tunnel is being built to connect the old house to a brand new one, which will be built closer to the river.

Speaking about the property earlier, Andy revealed: "We gave the architects a few broad rules. 1. Honour the old house and 2. We'd like to live in the new.

"Flack Studio came up with this. The historic house sits proudly on its own and will be restored. The new part makes the most of the river views. All connected underground below the piazza."
Andy joked that his fiancée's wardrobe was going to be "pretty much that entire back building."
Not only do they have a house to build, Andy and Bec also have a wedding to plan.
In May 2024, Andy revealed he proposed to Bec inside the very house that they're building.
The comedian said that he took Bec to the Ravenswood home under the guise they needed to film videos for social media before they start the build.

Andy went onto explain that he pretended to see something inside of the old marble fireplace and went to take a look before producing a napkin, in a nod to he and Bec met.

"When I was down there, I stayed on one knee and I gave her another napkin — because when I first met her at the café, I wrote on a napkin my details — and I gave her another napkin," Andy said at the time.

The couple have been together for almost 10 years after meeting in October 2014 at a Melbourne café where Bec was a waitress at the time.
During their first meeting, Andy famously gave Bec his details on a napkin.
Hours after Andy broke the news of their engagement in an episode of The Hamish & Andy Podcast the pair showed off the beautiful emerald-cut engagement ring in a joint Instagram post.
"People keep saying we rushed into this, but we don't care what people say," they cheekily captioned the picture.
