Exclusive: Andy Lee reveals only reason he'd 'sub out' Hamish Blake from his upcoming wedding: 'Shortlisted'

EXCLUSIVE: Andy Lee and Hamish Blake have been best mates for decades but even Blake's position in Lee's bridal party isn't 100 percent safe.
Lee asked podcast co-host Blake to stand by his side at his wedding to Rebecca Harding later this year, along with his brother Cam Lee and long-time friend Michael "Horgs" Hogan.
Speaking to nine.com.au about his upcoming nuptials, Lee revealed the only reason he'd "sub out" Blake, or any of his groomsmen for that matter, from his nuptials.

"I mean, they've been shortlisted," he cheekily quipped.
"I said to them, obviously they're in the position at the moment, but if I do happen to meet a remarkable friend, say I become close with Ryan Gosling in the next kind of six months, I'd probably have to sub one of them out."

The beloved comedian, 44, who's bringing the ninth season of his hit game show The Hundred to screens, has a few surprises in the works for his and Bec's wedding.
Although there's one idea, involving their beloved pet dog Henrietta, he still needs to run by fiancée Bec.

"I felt like that she should come down with the rings," Lee said.
"Although Bec's worried that I'd marry [Henri] instead of her. It's certainly Henri that gets more hugs before bed occasionally, so yeah, I think there's a bit of jealousy from Bec," he laughed. "So we'll have to work out how that goes."

Andy and Bec plan to have a small and intimate wedding, with just 80 guests in attendance.
The invites were sent out over the Christmas break, but deciding on the tight guest list was no easy feat.

"It was like casting The Hundred," said Andy. "I'd be asking Bec all these questions about, do you think this person would be good with this person?
"[The wedding planning] has been the fun thing this year for sure.
"But yes we are getting married this year which is great," he added. "She'll make an honest man out of me."

In 2024, Andy and Rebecca confirmed their engagement with fans, with Andy sharing the news on his Hamish & Andy podcast at the time.

"I asked Bec to marry me on Sunday," he said at the time.

He revealed he proposed on site at the build of their new house.
That May, he also shared a loved up picture with Bec as she showed off her stunning diamond ring.
"People keep saying we've rushed into this but we don't care what people say! 💍," the post read.
The pair have been together for about 12 years, having met when she worked in a café in 2014.
