As a former history teacher, 50-year-old Amy was feeling confident about her duel on the nail-biting new game show The Floor.
She would be battling 32-year-old Rory in 'Historical Events', bringing Amy one step closer to her chance at a life-changing $200,000.
"Ooh is she bluffing, players? I wonder," teased host Rodger Corser.

And that's exactly it, The Floor is a game of wit, not just knowledge. Under the pressure of the clock, one simple mistake could cost Amy everything.

After winning her first duel in the category 'Kitchen Drawer', Amy had a big decision to make: Would she play on or go back to The Floor?
"I was a history teacher so let's go Historical Events," Amy announced as she decided to continue.
"Amy was a pretty good teacher, but I was an even better student," Rory fought back with a confident smile.

But this duel was like none we've seen before. Rather than guessing a picture, the contestants had to complete the headline of each front-page newspaper clipping.
In a heart-racing moment, a split-second mistake cost Amy everything.

"Amy, what happened?" asked Rodger after the incredibly tough round.
"I was watching the picture thinking it was Rory's turn!" she laughed.

Amy was one of 45 contestants remaining.
The rules are simple: take on your neighbours in their special subject in a sudden death duel. The more duels you win, the more of The Floor you own.

Amy lost the duel, meaning she was immediately eliminated from the competition. She lost her shot at not only the $10,000 bonus nightly prize, but the $200,000 grand prize.
