The brand new series, hosted Aussie TV actor and personality Rodger Corser, airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

After captivating audiences in over 15 countries, including the USA, France, Spain, and Germany, it's now Australia's turn.

In a fast-paced battle of the brains, 81 Aussies will face off in timed duels in a giant arena while competing for a life-changing prize of $200,000.

What is The Floor?

Combining intense strategy and high-stakes trivia, The Floor is a gripping game of wits and endurance that every member of the family can play along with at home!

How do you play The Floor?

The game is simple: each player begins with one tile on the floor, representing their subject of expertise. These topics range from Aussie slang phrases, to items you'll find in the kitchen drawer.

You can find this year's contestants and their areas of expertise below:

The players' areas of expertise are wide and varied.  Nine

Each players' aim is to challenge and win their neighbours' tiles by going head-to-head in that category. This is called a 'duel'.

If they win, the contestant steals that area of The Floor. The loser goes home.

The contestants keep going head-to-head until one person remains on the floor.

Whoever wins the entire floor will rule all and claim the life-changing $200,000 prize money.

What are the rules of The Floor?

The premise of the game is simple: take on your neighbour, steal their floor.

But there are few little-known rules to keep in mind when playing The Floor:

  • At the end of each night, the contestant with the most amount of floor space will win a BONUS $10,000
  • If you are selected by the randomiser you do not get to compete in your own category but get to choose which of your neighbours you will verse in their category
  • When somebody wins a duel, not only do they get to take their neighbour's floor space but they also inherit their category
