Meet The Block's biggest fan, Debbie

The Block has a superfan, and her name is Debbie. A Current Affair’s Reid Butler takes her on a private tour of The Gatwick, and she doesn’t hold back.

We first met Debbie last month - at her local shopping centre. She'd skipped out on work in the hopes of meeting her hero Scotty Cam - who was meant to be at a signing event at Big W. 

Despite leaving work in the hopes of meeting her renovation hero, Scotty was crook - and wasn't able to make it. 

“He wasn't even there, he didn't even turn up, I was so disappointed,” said Debbie.

We thought we'd make it up to Debbie and give this Melbourne mum of two a VIP tour of the The Gatwick, ahead of the open for inspections on the weekend.

First, we set Debbie loose in Hayden and Sara's apartment, where she asked Hayden if they were still married.

“Here's the ring to prove it!” Hayden laughed.

And step over Shaynna – Debbie didn't hold back when it came to the couples' controversial gold bath. 

"Can I tell the truth?” Debbie asks. “I wouldn't put it in my bathroom.” 

Hayden steps in to defend the bath, explaining lots of people were coming just to inspect the golden item.

“Yes and they'll see the bath and go ‘wow, that's not as bad as what it was on,” retorted Debbie. Moving on!

What does Debbie think of Bianca and Carla's penthouse? 

“Beautiful, nice big parties on this verandah that's for sure,” she said. 

Bianca and Carla greet Debbie and ask her if their penthouse is Debbie’s favourite. Turns out, Debbie loves both penthouses equally.

Across the hall at Norm and Jess's, Debbie gets to climb on the bed with the Sunshine Coast couple to test out it’s comfiness level.

On to Kerrie and Spence's pad, where Debbie strolls down their gorgeous hallway.

“Lots of colours, makes the hallway brighter,” she said with admiration.

She chatted to Kerri about their coffered ceilings, and picks them as the dark horses.

“I love your ceilings… No one else has anything like that, and that's why I reckon you guys are the dark horses,” said Debbie, to which Kerrie responded, “Dark horses for the win!”

In Courtney and Hans’ apartment they discuss how relieved Courtney is the stressful process is over.

But there was one important person left for Debbie to meet.

“I didn't get to meet him last time so I'm so looking forward to meeting Scotty,” Debbie confessed.

“I'm here, Deb how are ya darl?” boomed Scotty, approaching from another room. Debbie couldn’t contain her delight.

“Open for inspections, you're on a private tour, by yourself, there's normally 10,000 walking through here,” explained Scotty.

“I'm very special,” Debbie said.

Leaving The Block, Debbie exclaimed, “Woohoo! I'm wrapt now, thanks Scott, see ya!”
