Watch: Brad misses a challenge after Kylie discovers text messages about her on his phone

Watch the video above to see the moment Kylie discovered texts her husband had sent their Block tradie about her – which didn't go down well at all.

Here's how it all unfolded.

When Kylie arrived at The Block's latest challenge without husband Brad, host Scott Cam thought it was best not to ask too many questions.

It was a wise decision, with Kylie confirming Brad was very much in the doghouse.

Earlier that day, she had been using his phone to find a replacement tiler as their previous tradie was unavailable, but ended up stumbling upon messages about her.

"A message from our tiler popped up, just having a little dig at how grumpy I am and they're having a laugh about it," Kylie explained.

"All I said was when you're angry, it's hard," Brad defended.

As the couple prepared to travel to the challenge, Kylie told Brad to "get out" of the car.

"You talk s--t about me, you get cut," she said, refusing to hand Brad's phone back so he could continue calling possible tilers.

Kylie went on to take part in the surfboard art challenge completely solo, creating a predominantly black piece to go in their house.

She did an incredible job, too – and just missed out on the top spot behind Courtney and Grant... who let's face it, have faced a mammoth day on The Block themselves.

The team are hoping to turn around an epic mezzanine ensuite on Sunday, so we're sure the couple will turn things around to defend their crown!

The Block airs Sunday at 7pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
