You can now tour Prince Charles's private gardens from the comfort of your own home

No plans to pop over to London but dying to have a relaxed squiz at Prince Charles’s beautiful and beloved private gardens?

No worries!

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is opening up his home at Highgrove House to more people than ever before, and the best part is, you don’t have to leave your living room.

In honour of National Gardening Week, Google Arts and Culture has launched an incredible virtual tour of the property where Charles has lived since 1980, Vogue reports.

The (super cool) virtual exhibit details the history of the home in Gloucestershire, England, which was built between 1796 and 1798, as well as the renovations Charlie has made to the house and gardens.

There are a variety of gardens in the grounds, ranging from perfectly manicured to peacefully wild.

The Stumpery is a lush green area that looks straight out of a fairytale.

There’s also the classic Cottage Garden, the Sundial Garden with purple alliums and blue delphiniums, the Lily Pool Garden, a Wildflower Meadow and much more.

Charles has a deep affection for his gorgeous grounds (who wouldn’t?) and in 2018 told the BBC show Gardeners’ World he became interested in gardening after spending much of his childhood in his grandmother’s wonderful garden.

“I remember being absolutely riveted as a child and wandering about the little paths and things and looking at all the plants,” Charles said.

“It was a wonderful woodland garden with masses of azaleas and rhododendrons.

“The smell and everything had a profound effect one me, I think.”

Prince Charles's virtual tour includes still shots and videos of the gardens, as well as 360 degree pictures for the full immersive experience.
