Table lamp creates thunderstorm every time Trump tweets

Donald Trump is truly the President of the Age of Twitter.

He has used the social media platform to launch attacks on everyone from a Modern Family producer to the entire country of North Korea, causing a flurry of reactions all over the world.

And now there's a home accessory connected to the internet that creates real-life Trump Twitter storms. It's called the Political Lamp, and it shines a light on just how often President Trump hits that Twitter icon and dashes off his thoughts.

Created by French designer Parse/Error, the lamp's glass case fills with swirling clouds and flashes of lightning whenever Trump tweets.

It reacts in real time to the 45th president's Twitter messages, which darken the light's soft blue glow to a threatening grey, and spark off lightning bolts and rolling movement in the soft fabric that fills the lamp.

The Marseille-based designer, who does not release his real name on his website, explains he set the lamp to follow Trump's tweets "because he perfectly embodies a dangerous era. A world where the words of one single man, released spontaneously and without reflection on a global social network, can endanger the fate of millions of people and raise the spectre of nuclear war on the planet."

Sadly, the Political Lamp is just a prototype, so you can't pop into your nearest homes decor store and buy it. Perhaps we should tweet about that...
