Finally – a win for Sticks and Wombat

After weeks of being slammed, Sticks and Wombat finally win a room. But just how did they manage to beat Josh and Elyse’s amazing hallway?

“Just to clarify, it’s not just ‘hallway,’ it’s laundry, toilet, linen cupboard, front door,” Georgia says of the week that managed to nearly break all our Blockheads.

Despite that, Sticks and Wombat are determined to make “Hallway Hell Week” THEIR week. Frustrated with the being slammed, and after copping some savage criticism from the buyer’s advocates, they are taking a different approach to this week’s challenge.

“The word ‘soften’ keeps popping on up,” muses Wombat, who is determined to channel his inner marshmallow this week.

It works.

The judges are instantly swooning. “Look at those flowers, look at the colour palate!” rejoices Shaynna Blaze, who adds that Wombat has finally gotten in touch with his feminine side. “Even though it’s a narrow hallway, it feels amazing!” Neale dubs it “hygge” as well.

Sticks gets a “softness” compliment too – with the roof and wall panelling evoking very fluffy feelings.

The laundry gets some love also – Shaynna is beside herself about the storage and despite the size being smaller than others, the judges are beaming from ear to ear.
