Steph and Gian auction off their secret weapon after a whopping $50,000 win on The Block 2023
It's Week 3 on The Block and it seems we already have our first auction!
Well, kind of.
This year, our teams are transforming their pick of charming 1950s brick homes. After Steph and Gian chose House 4, they inherited everything that came with it – including a 78-jet swim spa.

With Scott Cam estimating it's worth to be anywhere up to $15,000, the pair hoped to rake in big cash for the old find.

After failing to sell it online, there was only one obvious solution: to hold a Block auction!
"I think anywhere between $3,000-$4,000 would be awesome," a hopeful Gian said to camera.
On top of the $50,000 worth of prizes they nabbed for winning Studio Bedroom Week, a sale like that could set them thousands of dollars ahead with budget.

A crowd turns up for the highly-anticipated spa auction day. Nine
There was quite a bit of interest in the "15-metre" spa, as Scott Cam called it.
"Some may say it's six metres, but to me it feels like 15 metres," he corrected.
Tradies, contestants and crew gathered around as auctioneer Scott kicked things off. Even some Charming Street neighbours turned up for the bid.

"Ladies and gentlemen, can we start the bidding at $100,000?" chuckled Scott.
Considering how much fun the teams had with the spa earlier on in the week, you'd think it'd be worth something!
"Can we start the bidding at $5,000?" Scott continued.

Bearing in mind, some teams inherited a nightmare flooring issue that will set them back weeks (the joys of renovating an old house!), so Steph and Gian have definitely lucked-out.
