Serena Williams drops $8.7 million on Beverly Hills home

It's been a big year for the world's greatest tennis player – there's been grand slam wins, babies, and now, a new house.
After recently listing her Bel Air residence, where she has lived for 11 years, Serena Williams has paid $AUD8.7 million ($US6.68 million) for a newly built five-bedroom home in the famous Beverly Hills postcode, 90210.
The LA Times reports the three-storey Spanish-inspired house, which sits on 557sqm, has an open floor plan with brushed-oak hardwood floors and white walls – perfect to accent with pops of colour.
There are multiple living spaces, and the spacious main bedroom has its own fireplace and private bathroom.
There's a games room, too – complete with a full bar and wine cellar; a massage and yoga room and an inbuilt pool surrounded by lush gardens.
No tennis court, though! It seems Ms Williams likes to separate work and play.
