Paint company, Portola Paints, has named a new colour after Gomez's latest album Revival. The purple hue was created evoke the cosmos.

The LA-based paint supplier shared a snap of the new deep purple shade via Instagram last week. It's a clever marketing idea, as purple is definitively the favourite colour of tween and teen girls, which is a big market for Gomez.

The post captures a swirly rich pot of Revival before its mixed and the caption reads: "Holler at my girl @selenagomez cause our new colour Revival is lit."

Gomez fan predictably went nuts, with over 200 comments - most asking how they can get their hands on the paint.

After requests from commenters Portola Paints posted a follow-up post of the Gomez-inspired hue once it was mixed, revealing a dusty mauve colour.
