Room Reveal: Chantel and Wyatt’s Kitchen, Butler’s Pantry and Powder Room
This week the Blockheads took on their Kitchen, Butler’s Pantry and Powder Room. It’s a huge week, with the couples racing towards the finish line.
This week, Chantel and Wyatt raced against the clock to try and complete their Kitchen, Butler’s Pantry and Power Room. Will this be their first week handing in an unfinished room?

“Wow,” Marty said upon entry. “That would shoot so well, it’s so symmetrical.” Darren agreed that the layout was “fantastic.”

Shaynna loved the lit-up backsplash and the stone choice. “I think that is perfection,” she said

The judges didn’t like that the main sink and the Butler’s Pantry sink were both visible when you’re standing in the kitchen. “That really makes me think this is going to be messy when used,” Shaynna said.

Marty added that their “simple” and “broad market appeal” will either make or break them.
“It does the job, but it’s cold... the house lacks personality,” Marty said.

However, judges loved the appliances the couple chose, including the curved fridge and Smeg oven.

There was ample storage, which is always a plus.

Moving into the Butler’s Pantry, the judges loved the additional shelving and layout.

Darren also liked the curved bench top. However, they had issues with the functionality, suggesting the couple should have moved the sink to the other side of the room.

The powder room was unfinished, and the judges ripped into the details that weren’t complete. “It’s just bad, isn’t it,” Shaynna said. “The mirror is just stuck on, there should be some detail to break up that edge.”
