Room Reveal: Adam and Jolene’s Kids’ Bedroom and Redo Room
When the judges walked in, they couldn’t believe their eyes. But that’s not always a good thing.
Fresh off their Domain Buyer’s Jury win the night before, Adam and Jolene were riding high going into Room Reveals. But that feeling didn’t last too long after the judges opened the door to their ‘kids’ bedroom’.

“I thought we were meant to be seeing kids’ rooms this week,” Marty said as he walked into the space. His thoughts were echoed by Shaynna and Darren, who all appeared baffled as they tried to understand why the couple had designed the room this way.

“This isn’t childish,” Darren said. “So the logic would be they have an adult child occupying this room, fine. But where do they put their stuff?”

“Kids don’t need clothes obviously. And they’re going to fold everything neatly” Shaynna sarcastically pointed out when judging the wardrobe. “This does not make sense,” Marty agreed.

Before the judges walked in, Adam and Jolene had said how proud they were of the curved wall. And while the judges thought it was “lovely”, they said it simply wasn’t worth the wardrobe space they had to sacrifice for it.

Simply put, the judges described the room as “a really bad design”, saying it doesn’t really feel connected to the rest of Adam and Jolene’s house.

“If there was a word for this room, it’s meh,” Darren said. Meanwhile, back at HQ, Scotty told the couple that Marty described the space as a “nothing room, it doesn’t add any value to the house, its hard to market, it’s a bad room”.

And while the judges already weren’t impressed, they soon noticed something that completely baffled them.

“As for styling, there’s hand cream beside the bed,” laughed Scotty as he relayed the judges comments. “[Shaynna] asked who puts hand cream on the bedside as a styling item?”

After a dissapointing experience in the kids bedroom, the judges still held onto hope that Adam and Jolene’s Redo Room - their Week 1 Guest Bedroom - would be something a little more impressive. Unfortunately, they were left dissapointed.
