Here’s how an architect flips a house

This beautiful beach side home is the work of renowned architect Murray Thomas and his interior designer wife Anna. Located at Pearl Beach, this project is the latest in a series of successful property flips the couple have accomplished in the area in recent years. 

Positioned only metres from the beach, the couple purchased the property back in 2012 for $660,000. As the before images show, the property was once a rather humble weatherboard shack-like home. 

The Thomases more-or-less only held onto the original single-storey floor plan and the appointed four-bedrooms, gutting the tired interiors to create an ultra-contemporary space which features quality joinery and finishes. They also transformed the backyard into a sunlit entertaining courtyard with a reflection pool that separates the garden and open-plan living spaces.

The home is expected to return $2.2 million through Stuart Gan, of PRDNationwide.
