Oprah is selling her Chicago home for $500K

Turns out it’s a lot cheaper to buy Oprah’s home than the average house in Sydney. Who’d have ever thought it possible?

For once, it’s not just down to Sydney being ridiculously expensive. The particular property Oprah has put on the market is surprisingly modest for the TV queen. Who despite being worth $4 billion, owns this quaint 4-bedroom family home in Elmwood Park, Illinios.

The house was built in 1941 and Oprah has made minor adjustments to the home such as adding a heating and cooling system.

The brick colonial is on a decent sized property in River Forest Manor and has two working fireplaces, hardwood floors, 4 bedrooms and a formal dining room.  

It’s a far cry from her $64 million estate in Los Angeles, that she named ‘The Promised Land’. But if you want to live like Oprah, it’s now a possibility.
